Hi_Fidelity is a browser extension that captures conversations from AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini) and helps you organize, search, and reuse that context. It is built and operated by Pickering Design Group (PDG).
Hi_Fidelity captures the text of an AI conversation when you open the extension while a supported chat is the active tab, or when you click Summarize Current Chat. It does not run in the background, does not monitor pages on its own, and does nothing at all on any site other than Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. A captured conversation includes the messages you sent and the responses you received in that thread.
If you purchase a Hi_Fidelity Pro license, we collect your email address and generate a license key for your account. We also record a monthly count of tokens used, in order to enforce plan limits.
To enforce the per-license device limit (a maximum of 2 devices per license), the extension generates a random identifier for each device you activate and stores it with your license. This identifier is randomly generated by the extension — it is not derived from your hardware, your browser fingerprint, or any personal data — and is used solely to count how many devices a license is active on.
We do not collect your name, browsing history, cookies, analytics, or any personal information beyond what is described above.
Captured conversations are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. By default your data stays on your device.
If you purchase a Pro license, your email address, license key, subscription status, monthly usage count, and the identifiers of the devices you have activated (up to 2) are stored in our database, hosted on Supabase, for license management and device-limit enforcement.
Your conversation text leaves your device only in the following optional cases:
You can use Hi_Fidelity without any of the above. Capture and local storage work entirely offline, with no data transmission.
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. Conversation text is sent only to Google's Gemini API, or to a provider whose key you supplied, and only to build the structured memory object you asked for. Your license key and device identifiers are used only for subscription and device-limit enforcement — never for advertising, profiling, or resale.
Your conversations are stored locally in your browser. You can delete any individual session from within the extension at any time. Uninstalling the extension permanently removes all locally stored data.
To keep storage bounded, the extension automatically retains the 100 most recent sessions and removes older ones.
If you cancel a Pro subscription, your account record remains in our database for license management. To request full deletion of your account data, contact us at the address below.
If you use Bring Your Own Key, your API key is stored locally in your browser and sent directly to that provider — it never passes through our servers. Your Pro license key is stored locally and transmitted to our server over HTTPS only for subscription verification. All communication with external services uses HTTPS.
Hi_Fidelity is not intended for use by children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
